Brooklyn, NY (June 12, 2023) — Brooklyn Film Festival’s 26th edition, “Human Times,” which was staged both in person at Windmill Studios, the Wythe Hotel, The Center for Fiction, and online, wrapped up Sunday, June 11th, and has announced the winners of the festival’s awards. Three groups determined the winners: 1) The external panel of judges; 2) The festival Board of Directors; and 3) the Audience. Through the resources of industry-related sponsors, selected filmmakers are awarded prizes in cash, products and services. Ciela picked up the coveted Grand Chameleon and the Best Narrative Short awards. Coyote won Best Narrative Feature and Sweetheart Deal took home the award for Best Documentary Feature.

“The 26th edition of BFF was a wonderful journey, with a diverse and eccentric film program, curated by a group of programmers who made the 2023 fest, Human Times, a truly remarkable adventure. A quirky, but optimistic trajectory, in a world that struggles to find a balance,” said Marco Ursino, Brooklyn Film Festival Executive Director. “Thanks to the indie filmmakers for helping us reimagine a brand new world.”
